Hello there, I have recently upgraded to Windows XP. I was using CM fine before in '98, but now there seems to be some kind of conflict with graphics. I used to switch tasks with alt+tab to switch back to windows frequently but I can't do that now, as as soon I go back, there is nothing on the CM screen and the

Setting up interenet access with XP
Switching back to the mac, the mpeg-2 encoding process continued without complaint while I browsed the web, checked my mail, created .vob files from other DVD media all at the same time! The mouse didn't stutter, the windows didn't 'break'. Then it finally hit me. The P4 box did outperform the mac without question.

Question about EQW...
Hi, A question for the pro's! :-) I have a setup where a Windows XP Pro, UK, SP1 all patches and IE service packs, needs to access to different subnets. Our main subnet (the intranet) To mee it looks like whenever Windows XP uses the seconday DNS for the first time, it will not switch back to the primary DNS?

You can keep going as a thief and switch back to fighter whenever you want by talking to Dak'kor (whom you should have in your party by now); however, XP accumulated while you were a Thief will be lost for your fighter (or mage) advancement. My experience was that Annah already does an excellent job at scouting,

Windows XP question
My current setup, Mandrake Linux 9.2 using the KDE windowing environment, looks and works enough like Windows that I can switch back and forth easily. I prefer Linux primarily because of its inherent security compared with Windows (even XP Professional, my current Windows flavor); Windows viruses, worms and Trojans

It used to work fine, but now I gotta make sure I'm in an entirely safe spot when I switch to another window because I can't instantly switch back if I hear bone-crushing hits being landed on me. The new drive is using NTFS (because XP didn't give any other options) while the second drive is still using FAT32.

But something you can try, if you don't use standard XP themes - disable the themes service. Then I figure it won't be able to start up in themes and so won't switch back on login. Just a random idea, haven't tried it myself (as I use a single-height taskbar). -- TheGreenReaper (Laurence Parry)

My question now is:- is this purely a WinXP problem ? If Win2000,98 etc are OK then I might consider switching back until this thing is resolved. What is weird to me though is that I had 2 weeks without a single crash but now it will crash within 10mins of using a certain P2P application.

Question on RAID installation
I am running currently running XP, but need to install software that says it only runs with 2000 SP2. How do I go about switching back to 2000 from XP? Also, what does the 'SP2' mean? SP2 means "Service Pack 2." Since XP is essentially a later version of Windows 2000, it's very likely that the program in question

All I had to do was to switch back to the XP theme, and the user icon reappeared in my Start Menu. I believe the big difference lies in how often we switch from design (D) to coding (C). When doing test-driven-development, I switch so often that I don't notice the switch. Even when doing UML nowadays, I quickly switch back to programming. The switch is done with such high frequency that, perhaps,

Win2K or XP .LNKs work anywhere on the network as long as the four conditions I mentioned above are true. Will the links be intact ?

And really, you're not missing out on all that much, some obvious differences are the dumbed down GUI (you can switch back to classic style thankfully) and it does boot faster. Seems quite stable. apart from that, I've yet to find anything amazing about it, so take your sweet time thinking about migrating over.

You will be getting xp from the kill, so long as the mob is not gray and has not been recently charmed. It may not be enough to visibly move your xp bar, but you are getting some. Do these kill tasks until you reach level 9 and head in to Mithra's Tomb until 12 or 13 or so, then switch back to bounties.
